Season 2015 - 2016

Lochee Harp Football Club is a Scottish Junior Football Club based in the Lochee area of the City of Dundee. Formed in 1904 and nicknamed "The Harp", we play our home games at Beechwood Park, which can accommodate approximately 1,800 spectators. Our strip colours are green and white. The Club was formed among the Irish community in Lochee, and derive our history as an Irish Catholic Football Club. We were formed in much the same way as Celtic, by local priests and church members to alleviate the boredom of the workers and provide some recreation. Dundee United has much the same origins, having been formed as Dundee Hibernian. Newly appointed Manager Steven Fotheringham has lived in the Lochee area for over 30 years, and has been at the Club for 18 years, 17 of those as a player. Assistant Manager Michael Gormley has also lived in Lochee for over 24 years and has a total of 7 years of service with the Club. Coach David Taylor is another ‘Harp’ stalwart, having spent 14 years of his playing career with the Club. The new Management team are hoping to re-build the Club to its former glory and hopefully challenge for honours again in the not too distant future. The Club is actively looking for sponsors for this season, either club or player sponsors welcome. If you would be interested in finding out more information, please get in touch. News …………
